Garuda Indonesia and Lion Air offer daily flights between Bali and Kupang, West Timor; the jumping point to Rote Island. There are daily flights on Wings Air (a subsidiary of Lion Air) between Kupang and Rote. The flight takes approximately 20 minutes and can be booked on line via the Lion Air website. There are also ferries that take approximately 2 hours but are not available for advanced purchase. Passengers traveling between Bali and Rote can make the trip with easy connections through Kupang.
